Ngaben cremation ceremony is conducted in the Bali, especially by the religious Hindu; Hinduism is the religion which a majority on the island of Thousand Temples. In the Panca Yadnya, the ceremony is included in Pitra Yadnya, namely that the ceremony is for the spirit of old man who past away. The meaning of the ceremony Ngaben essentially is to restore the spirit of ancestors (those who have died) to the place of origin. Pedanda (pastor in cristian) said human has Bayu, sabda, eyelash, and after human died Bayu, sabda, eyelash is restored to Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva temples. Ngaben ceremony is usually conducted by family relatives of people who died, as the form of a child's respect for their parents. In this ceremony once usually spend 15 million up to 20 million rupiah. The ceremony is usually done with the color, no sob weep, because in Bali have a belief that we should not mourn those who have died because it could hamper travel to the spirit of the place.
Day of Ngaben determined by looking for a good day that is usually determined by Pedanda. Several days before the ceremony was conducted Ngaben family will be assisted by the community to create "Bade and Lembu" a very luxurious made from wood, paper colors, and other materials. "Bade and Lembu" this is the place where dead bodies that will be implemented Ngaben.Morning when the ceremony is held, the family and relatives and the community will come together to prepare the ceremony. Corpses akan cleaned or commonly called "Nyiramin" by society and family, "Nyiramin" is led by people who are considered the oldest in the community. Summit held before the event, the whole family will honor the last wishes and prayers to give the spirit of ceremony get a good place. Once everything is ready, and then the corpse will be placed in "Bade" for troop carried to the grave where Ngaben ceremony, accompanied with the "gamelan", "sacred ballad," and followed by all the family and community, in front of "Bade" there is a white cloth long as the means of the pacemaker to the original spirit. Ash is then thrown to the sea or rivers that are considered sacred.

After this ceremony, the family can pray quietly ancestor's shrine and the temple of each. This is the cause of family ties in Bali is very strong, because they always remember and honor the ancestors and also their parents. There is a belief that the spirit of ancestors who have experienced reincarnation will back again in the family circle, so usually a grandchild is a reincarnation of her parents.
